Jurgen Klopp is about to receive three positive updates this week, it will define Liverpool's season - opinion

Liverpool have plenty of positives to look forward to this week. Especially with Jurgen Klopp, about to receive three major updates.

Nothing went quite right for Liverpool yesterday. The result was bitterly disappointing, but what was even more disappointing was the manner in which Liverpool drew the game.

In the first-half, Klopp’s side annihilated Manchester United. They produced an onslaught and caused plenty of problems for the home side.

In truth, they should have had the game buried at that point. But Liverpool were not clinical enough in front of goal.

Dominik Szoboszlai missed a few opportunities, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah also scuffed a few efforts.

That allowed Manchester United to get back into the game in the second-half. Jurgen Klopp will have been less than pleased by what he saw.

Two massive injury boosts for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool

But Klopp will close the chapter on the game and look ahead to the next one. Liverpool still have plenty left to fight for, and the Premier League title is not an impossibility.

The Reds are level on points with Arsenal with seven more games to be played. There are plenty of twists and turns that are bound to happen in that time.

Most importantly, Klopp will be about to receive some major positive news as some of his key players are expected to return to action this week.

In his press conference ahead of Sheffield United last week as per the club’s official YouTube channel, Jurgen Klopp confirmed that both Diogo Jota and Trent Alexander-Arnold will be expected to return to team training this week.

Jota and Alexander-Arnold have both been sorely missed. The former for his clinical ability in front of goal, and the latter for his creativity. Having both of them back could be a huge boost and could define the rest of Liverpool’s season.

But there is another third positive piece of news for Klopp to digest this week as well.

What is the latest around Stefan Bajcetic’s return?

In the same press conference, Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Stefan Bajcetic is also set to return to action soon.

The youngster has been out with an injury related to growing problems for the best part of a year and has featured only sporadically making just two appearances this season.

But Klopp admitted that Bajcetic, who has been training with the U21s, could be back training with Liverpool’s first team this week.

That is going to be another huge boost for Liverpool. Bajcetic is an exceptional talent with a very bright future ahead of him.
