‘Can you imagine?’: Alan Pardew says he’d love to manage £22m Tottenham Hotspur player

Tottenham Hotspur are going places under head coach Ange Postecoglou.

While the North London club were never really going to challenge for the Premier League title this season, Tottenham Hotspur could end up in the top four of the league table.

And, in my view, that will be a big achievement. After all, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are set for the top three.

So, for Tottenham to finish above Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle United in the Premier League table would be massive.

Spurs do not have Harry Kane this season, but the way head coach Ange Postecoglou sets up his team, Tottenham are not missing the England international striker, who is now starring for Bayern Munich.

Tottenham are not relying on one player to score the goals. Everyone is chipping in.

One of the Tottenham players who is scoring goals and helping the team is Son Heung-min. The South Korea international forward has scored 15 goals and given nine assists in 29 matches in all competitions this season.

The 31-year-old, described by one pundit as world class, has scored only four fewer goals than Manchester City striker Erling Haaland in the Premier League this season.

Former Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew is a big fan of Son. The talkSPORT pundit has said that he would have loved to manage the £22 million forward (The Guardian).

Alan Pardew a big fan of Tottenham Hotspur forward

Pardew said about Son on talkSPORT (8:45 pm, April 7, 2024): “I saw some stat this week about the Asian top goalscorer by some considerable margin now, isn’t he?

“I love him as a footballer. I would love to have managed him. Can you imagine managing someone like him? He is such an easy kind of person to manage. You have to admire, of course, the way he plays.”

Son Heung-min is a Tottenham Hotspur great

In my opinion, Son Heung-min is one of the greatest players in Tottenham Hotspur history.

Son is a very consistent player who has progressed and improved as a player since his move to Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015.

The forward has become a goal machine for Spurs. Son has scored 118 goals and given 61 assists in 296 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
