Marc Guehi drops Crystal Palace injury return hint as summer transfer exit lined up

Catch a round-up of all the latest Crystal Palace news, including updates on Marc Guehi injury, transfer exit and an unwanted record.

Marc Guehi injury latest

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has hinted at a possible return from injury in the coming weeks of the season. The England international has been missing from action after picking up an issue with his knee that required a procedure.

It has come as a huge blow to the Eagles, given just how impressive Guehi has been since joining the club. However, it looks as though a return before the end of the season is still on the cards for the former Chelsea man.

“That’s the plan,” Guehi told TNT Sports when discussing a return before the end of the season. “Hopefully I can come back and help the lads in the last few games. I’m just waiting to get back in and play.”

The defender has made 22 appearances in the Premier League so far this season, having been out of action since early February. There will be plenty of hopes that a return to action will also see a return to form for the club to end the campaign on a high note.

According to journalist Edmund Brack, Kofi Balmer is set to leave Palace this summer at the conclusion of his loan spell with AFC Wimbledon. The 23-year-old has previously featured for the Eagles, but is yet to make an appearance for the club.

Crystal Palace stars unwanted record

Crystal Palace have been through a tough campaign so far, but there will be hopes that Premier League survival can be secured in the coming weeks. Attention will then turn towards improving and implementing a new style of play.

One of the most concerning parts of the second half of the campaign has been some performances. Based on WhoScored ratings, Palace have three players in the top ten for a decrease in those ratings this season.
