Chelsea fans are all thinking the same thing after watching Kai Havertz in the Champions League last night

With Chelsea not in Europe this season in any capacity, they have been forced to watch the biggest games of the season from home.

Last night saw two of their Premier League rivals, Manchester City and Arsenal, take part in the competition at the quarter-final stage.

As part of Mikel Arteta’s side, former Chelsea man Kai Havertz was again handed the start at the Emirates.

His side will likely be a bit disappointed with the final result, being held to a 2-2 draw in the home leg.

They were up against Thomas Tuchel and his Bayern Munich side, with Blues supporters quick to reminisce about just how good his sides are in the Champions League.

Chelsea fans not impressed by Havertz

However, the same couldn’t be said for how they feel about Havertz right now, instead believing they were on the better end of the deal which saw him leaveStamford Bridge.

One user Tweeted: “Havertz really fooled half the world, everyone thought he was a top quality player at Chelsea, he went to the arsenal and only confirmed the level of catfish he is.”

Another added: “Kai Havertz now robbing a living at Arsenal as well as Chelsea.”

A third stated: “To be honest, Chelsea finessed Man City, Arsenal, and Man Utd by selling Kovacic, Havertz, and Mount to them for a combined £150 million. That’s insane if you deep it.”

A fourth said: “No thank you Chelsea for Havertz tonight?”

Another stated: “Kovacic, Jorginho, Mount, Havertz… all at the pinnacle of mediocrity but somehow Chelsea managed to sell all of them.”

Finally, one user tweeted: “Havertz stinker tonight, thank you Chelsea.”

Chelsea facing uphill battle for Europe

The Blues are meanwhile in their own battle just to qualify for any European football for next season, and that may well be key for manager Mauricio Pochettino keeping his job beyond this campaign.

Their lingering mid-table position suggests they face an uphill battle to do this via the Premier League, and instead their best bet may well be through the FA Cup.

However, they will be more than aware they will likely need to beat both Manchester sides at Wembley in order to do this, at a stadium they have rotten form at as of late.
