Dolores Catania’s boyfriend Paul Connell – known as Paulie on RHONJ – has paid tribute to his mom, Claire, who once appeared on The Real Housewives of New Jersey to greet all of Dolores’ friends.
Paul’s late mom, who jokily referred to Dolores Catania as a “hussy” on the show, has passed after “stealing their hearts”. The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars say “heaven gained an angel” in tribute.
Paul Connell’s mom was an ‘angel’
Paul Connell’s mom, Claire, was loved by Dolores so much that she appeared on RHONJ to introduce her to all of her friends. She made the entire cast laugh, revealing she didn’t think the men’s calendar was hot.
Claire, who often went for pints with her son’s girlfriend, jokily told the Bravo stars, “I haven’t got his [her late husband’s] money.” She said she “loves” Dolores who “made her feel so welcome.”
Dolores spoke of how she’d do the walk of shame when Claire visited for Christmas. “I felt funny sleeping over in front of his mom. How am I sneaking out when she’s the last one to bed and the first to wake up?”
Dolores ‘fell in love’ with Claire first
Dolores revealed on RHONJ how she had looked through Paul’s Instagram after she first met him, discovering several pictures of his “cute little lady” mom, Claire, who she “fell in love with first”.
She commented on Paulie’s Instagram tribute, “I fell in love with your beautiful mom first. She was an amazing woman leaving behind a beautiful legacy of selfless love, caring, and always a lot of laughter.”
Dolores added, “She loved [you] enough to last a lifetime. [Paul] you’re a true reflection of her in so many ways. We were all blessed to have her in our life. RIP Claire Xoxox.”
RHONJ couple pay tribute
Dolores and her boyfriend Paul have both paid tribute to Claire after her passing. The RHONJ shared Claire’s Bravo moment and opened up about her relationship with her boyfriend’s mom.
She wrote, “She stole all our hearts. It was an honor and a blessing to have known such a beautiful woman with a heart of gold and an unwavering faith. RIP Claire, heaven has gained an angel.”
“We will miss you xoxo. Love always, The Hussy,” Dolores added. Meanwhile, Paul wrote, “Oh Mam, no more calls no more trips for us .Love you with all my broken heart.”
