George Riley Jr., a Republican Party of Florida executive director, issued an apology this week after it was revealed that he trashed a hotel room after an employee there observed him "under the influence."
The Tampa Bay Times revealed that Riley Jr. last week was reported missing by his family after he had seemingly disappeared without notice.
It turns out that Riley was staying at the Hampton Inn in Kissimmee, Florida, where he would be kicked out of his room for "excessive drinking and damage caused to the room" during his stay.

In particular, employees said they found the room in total disrepair upon inspecting it as Riley had "urinated and vomited throughout," which required the hotel to pay for a deep cleaning.

What's more, records show that Riley completely depleted the hotel store of its booze supply, and the manager at the store had to order more just so other customers could have the opportunity to buy some.
After being ousted from the hotel, Riley went missing for another two days before he was finally picked up this past Friday by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
The police report does not indicate what condition Riley was in after being discovered, only noting that he was safe.
When contacted by the Tampa Bay Times, Riley apologized profusely for his actions.
"“I’m deeply sorry," he said. "I have been dealing with alcoholism and mental health issues. I will pay for any damages that were caused. I apologize to the employees for my bad behavior and I will be seeking help soon."
He also told the newspaper that, “I’ll be seeking help so I can be a better father, a better person and a better all-around employee."
