'Absolute scumbag': Ex-FBI agent doesn't hold back on billionaire behind Trump's bond

Donald Trump, Allen Weisselberg and Donald Trump Jr.

Former FBI agent and Donald Trump foe,Peter Strzok, spoke to legal analyst Allison Gill on her "Clean-up on Aisle 45" podcast Wednesday, discussing Don Hankey — the man whose insurance company helped Trump secure a fraud case bond. The other hot topic was Allen Weisselberg, the former Trump chief financial officer who was just sent back to New York's Rikers Island jail for five months for perjury.

"These are the champions of Donald J. Trump. These are the people who are willing to come help him. These are the people who said they are willing to come out, not because of the goodness of their hearts," Strzok continued.

"But Don Hankey is getting something out of this transaction."

Hankey is the CEO of Knight Specialty Insurance Company, which agreed to bond Trump as he appealed the verdict in his fraud trial.

That's when Strzok dropped the bomb on Hankey: "And the guy — an absolute scumbag. Just the lowest of the low."

He cited a Daily Beast report that revealed Hankey had been sued by the Department of Justice for violating the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act by loaning military members money, and then illegally repossessing their cars.

"That's how this guy made his millions — billions!" Strzok said.

Gill said the Daily Beast reported that the company would pretend to be delivering flowers to find out where the person was so they could repossess their vehicle.

She then recalled an email exchange that Forbes shared between their reporter and Weisselberg about the actual size of Trump's penthouse in New York. Weisselberg lied under oath, saying that he never really focused on the size of the apartment.

As one legal analyst explained it, the perjury for Weisselberg makes it difficult for Trump to use him as a defense witness in his upcoming hush money trial.

"It was almost de minimis relative to his net worth, so I didn't really focus on it," Weisselberg said during trial. "I never even thought about the apartment."

Forbes had emails showing the opposite.

Strzok said he wouldn't be surprised to see Bar Association investigations into all of the Trump lawyers involved in the fraud case.

"I think we're going to see more out of this than Weisselberg going to jail," he said.

Gill also wondered if there would be an affect from Weisselberg's recent decision to fire attorney Alina Habba, who also represented Trump, though she said there was no indication he's about to change his position or flip on Trump.
