Shea Lacey sends message to Man Utd fans after first team training call, Jack Fletcher responds

Shea Lacey is one of the most exciting prospects at Manchester United right now and he’s sent fans a message.

Carrington is on fire right now, with more top prospects in the academy than we can even count currently in the ranks.

The likes of Harry Amass, Amir Ibragimov, Bendito Mantato and Shea Lacey are all players tipped for the absolute top.

Manchester United have a long history of affording youth players their opportunities and this season has been no different.

Under Erik ten Hag this season, United have given teenagers nearly three times the amount of minutes that the rest of the top six have.

Now, after Lacey became the latest teen to be called up into first-team training, he’s sent fans a message.

What message has Shea Lacey sent to Manchester United fans?

On Wednesday morning, the 16-year-old winger, Lacey, was spotted in first-team training with the United squad for the first time.

After this, he’s taken to Instagram with a message for fans who have been eagerly anticipating his return from a six-month-long injury.

He wrote: “Been a tough 6 months good to be back out there”, followed with a smiling face emoji as he’s clearly delighted to be getting back out on the pitch.

With this, it seems likely he will now be set to feature in the U18 side over the next week or so as he builds back to full fitness.

Being called into the senior squad for training might even have him dreaming of a debut as this season runs down.

Academy stars react to Lacey’s return to first-team training

Under Lacey’s post, there were several of his academy teammates who replied to him.

“He’s back”, wrote Jack Fletcher which was soon followed by a flame emoji.

Maxi Oyedele then commented, “Nice Lacey”.

Habeeb Ogunneye also had something to say as he wrote, “Finally”.

“Love to see it!” Wrote Ethan Wheatley.

Gabriele Biancheri also commented, writing “Here he is”, followed by a flame emoji.

Finally, Louis Jackson wrote, “He loves it the boy”, followed by a star emoji.

To see so much support under his post is a massive sign of how close the academy is.
