Catch a round-up of the latest Crystal Palace news, including updates on summer transfer targets, and fresh valuations.

New Crystal Palace transfer target

The summer transfer window is just around the corner and teams are starting to compile their targets for the months ahead. Crystal Palace are one team that look set for a busy spell in the market in a few areas of the squad.

One position that continues to be on the radar is centre-forward, given a whole host of links in recent weeks. The latest name linked with Palace is Chelsea’s Armando Broja, as Ben Jacobs told Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that the Albanian is a target.

The Cobham academy graduate is currently on loan with Fulham for the remainder of the campaign, but has struggled for minutes at Craven Cottage so far.

Crystal Palace transfer target value

Crystal Palace face a fresh challenge in their hopes of landing a new defender in the summer transfer window. Valencia youngster Cristhian Mosquera has long been linked with a move to Palace in the market.

However, impressive displays in La Liga have seen his transfer value continue to skyrocket, which may bring about a challenge for the Eagles in landing him. According to CIES, Mosquera is now worth £15.4million, a huge increase from £1.7million just a few months ago.

It represents a potential new challenge for the Palace hierarchy, if they wish to invest in a promising young option in the market.

Former Crystal Palace star impresses

Crystal Palace have rarely made a misstep in the transfer market in recent years, however there may be one recent example that could prove costly. That is the decision to let Jake O’Brien leave to join Lyon in summer 2023.

The centre-back left for just over £850,000 and has since impressed at the French club, helping them climb out from the lower regions of their league table. CIES Football Observatory displays the extent to the transfer mistake, with the youngster now valued at roughly £13million.

Performances from O’Brien have captured the attention of other clubs too, with Foot Mercato reporting that Everton have shown interest in signing him.
