2 N.J. teens charged with attempted sexual assault of another teen

Two teens in Bergen County have been charged with trying to sexually assault another teen in Old Tappan, authorities said Wednesday.

Police in the borough recently contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Juvenile Section about the attempted assault, according to a prosecutor’s spokesman.

The spokesman did not say where or when the incident occurred. According to DailyVoice.com, multiple parents reported that 8th graders bought a sex toy from a gift company and tried to sodomize another teen at a residence.

Video of the alleged incident was shared with others, according to the news report. The names of the teens were not released because of their ages.

The prosecutor’s office did not confirm details in the report but said Old Tappan police filed juvenile delinquency complaints against two teens “regarding the alleged attempted sexual assault of a juvenile.”
