Two friends from Diss High school are closing in on raising almost £10,000 as they look to fund the trip of a lifetime.
Amy Van Enckevort, 15, from Diss, and Sophie Cope, 15, from Redgrave, are due to visit Borneo this summer – but must first raise £5,000 each.
The two students have left no stone unturned in a bid to hit their respective targets.

Sophie’s mum, Gayle, 48, said: “They have been making things to sell and going to numerous craft fairs and have now raised around £4,000 each.
“They’ve been doing fairs around Norfolk and Suffolk, and are on track to hit their target, with six more planned.”
Once in Borneo – an island situated between Malaysia and Indonesia – the pair will take on conservation work, beach clean-ups and will help to build a youth centre.
“They are a little apprehensive as it’s for a month and Sophie has never flown before,” added Mrs Cope. “But it’s also very exciting for them.”
