The star, who stood trial for the double-murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman but was acquitted, died in Las Vegas.

He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren when he died.

His final post, on Twitter, featured the athlete talking about the upcoming Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

Heartbreakingly, he gave fans an update on his death, with OJ Simpson telling them he ‘was good’. The video was uploaded two months ago today.

“Hey X, it’s me, yours truly. What a beautiful day it is in Las Vegas,” OJ began as he wanted to give his take on who would win the Super Bowl.

But OJ Simpson then spoke about his health, as followers had seen reports he was battling cancer.

He added: “Let me take a moment to say thank you to all the people who reached out to me. My health is good, I mean, obviously I am dealing with some issues, but I think I’m just about over it, and I’ll be back on that golf course in a couple of weeks

“It was very nice hearing from you and those nice positive words.”

Reports he was in a hospice

The star had reportedly been battling prostate cancer in recent years, with reports claiming he was receiving care in the medical facility over the past few months.

However, when that news broke, OJ Simpson clapped back to say it wasn’t true and his health was on the mend.

On February 9th, he laughed at the claims he was in a hospice.

He says: “I’m not in any hospice, I don’t know who put that out there, but whoever put that out there I guess it’s as Donald Trump would say ‘You can’t trust the media!’

“I’m hosting a ton of friends for the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.

“All is well”.
