Fire broke out at energy facility near Kryvyi Rih due to debris from downed Shahed

In the Kryvyi Rih district of the Dnipropetrovsk region, a fire broke out overnight at an energy infrastructure facility due to the fall of debris from an enemy kamikaze drone. The fire has been extinguished, according to the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine.

"The enemy had the energy infrastructure of various regions of Ukraine in its sights," the statement said.

Military officials noted that Russian occupiers directed several waves of Shahed drones from the south, and the combat operation to repel the air attack lasted about 5 hours.

"As a result of the debris from the downed drone falling in Kryvyi Rih, a fire broke out at an energy facility. It has been successfully localized, firefighters continue their work. The consequences are being clarified. No injuries were reported," the Southern Defense Forces said.

Night attack by Shahed drones on Ukraine

Earlier, it was reported that during the night of April 12, Russian invaders once again launched Shahed kamikaze drones into Ukrainian territory. Several groups of enemy drones were detected, and air alarms were sounded in various regions.

Later, information emerged about the actions of forces and assets in the southern part of the country. Military officials urge residents of the alarmed areas to seek shelter and observe information silence.

Additionally, it later became known about the threat of missile strikes from the occupiers, particularly targeting the Kharkiv region. There were also reports of explosions in the Khmelnytskyi region.
