Report: League-leading European club now 'observing' £50m Man Utd player ahead of summer transfer

This summer Manchester United are expected to be keen on overhauling the squad as Ineos stamp their authority, this could include a big sale.

For Ineos, the new era at Manchester United will begin this summer really, with a busy transfer window expected.

Erik ten Hag has seen his side have a very poor season and if he’s still in charge, we imagine he’ll be all for some significant changes.

There are some positions which are in desperate need of reinforcements such as centre-back, midfield, and upfront.

This is quite the list, which could leave secondary positions like full-back forgotten about.

However, now there’s been a report which actually suggests United could be receiving interest in a player they signed for £50m back in 2020.

Let’s find out what’s happening at United…

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is now being chased by Inter Milan

This comes according to Italian outlet Tutto Campo which reports on Inter Milan’s likely need to find a new right-back this summer.

Interest therefore is mounting in United No. 29, Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

It’s reported that Inter had spoken with Wan-Bissaka’s agents last year, and now as he enters the last year of his contract, he is the subject of interest once more.

The report then states how this summer will be a revolution at Old Trafford which could see Wan-Bissaka on the chopping block as Inter observes and considers their move.

Selling the £90k-a-week man is something which for United has looked more and more impressive as the season has gone on.

Diogo Dalot has become a key player which really leaves no space for the man who’s been in pretty woeful form of late.

Should Manchester United sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka?

This one seems pretty simple to answer, considering Wan-Bissaka isn’t exactly in favour of Ten Hag and the managers being linked with taking over are also likely to favour Dalot.

But just how much better has Dalot been this season at United?

Well, the Portuguese international has arguably been the club’s best player during this whole campaign.

He’s been consistently a seven or eight out of 10 performer and turned into a real leader in the backline for United.

We saw this last weekend, with how he looked after Willy Kambwala against Liverpool and led him to a wonderful performance.

With Dalot in this form, there’s no chance of Wan-Bissaka taking his place, so we don’t see any reason why a sale is a bad idea.
