'I do': Cesc Fabregas predicts what's going happen during Arsenal vs Bayern Munich next week

Cesc Fabregas watched Arsenal draw with Bayern Munich in the Champions League this week and he’s made a prediction for the second leg.

Arsenal fought back to snatch a draw against Munich in the end at The Emirates.

The result was just about right on the night, as Bayern showed why they are still a force to be reckoned with at the very top of European football.

Harry Kane got himself a goal against his old rivals but it was Leandro Trossard who once again came up trumps for Arsenal as the former Brighton forward scored off the bench once more.

Of course, going into next week’s second leg, the game is anyone’s.

Arsenal will fancy their chances, of course. However, Bayern also know that it’s a great chance to get over the line and into a semi-final that many expected them to be nowhere near.

And speaking about the game for the Planet Premier League podcast, former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has had his say on what might happen in the second leg.

Of course, going to The Allianz Arena and winning is no easy task.

Bayern might be in poor form in the main this season and the pressure of their home crowd could be a factor.

Indeed, that pressure factor is something Fabregas feels could well play a role, as he suggested Arsenal might actually prefer going away in the second leg.

“You’re playing against a top team with top players. I think Mikel will take that, focus back on the Premier League again and go full on in the second leg. I do think Arsenal are more dangerous away from home in these types of games. Now, Bayern Munich have all the pressure in the world.

“They play at home, not doing very well in the league. It is their last bullet, in terms of saving their season. Arsenal, they have a good team, they want to win and are competing well on both fronts. I think they’ll be more relaxed in saying ‘we’re improving, last year we were here, now we are here’ and slowly slowly they are getting into better positions. I feel this will suit Arsenal for the second leg,” Fabregas said.

Arsenal played their part in a goal-laden week of Champions League football.

Manchester City drew 3-3 with Real Madrid, while there were five goals in the PSG v Barcelona game and another three in Dortmund v Atletico Madrid.

The Gunners, then, know they have a chance of pulling off a big result in Germany next week in what could be another goal-filled week of European football.
