The United States believes that the threat of an Iranian attack on Israel is real, states John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications of the US National Security Council.

As Kirby noted, the United States is currently reviewing its military structure in the region in light of the threat from Iran and is also monitoring the situation's development.

Additionally, the White House is awaiting a response from Hamas regarding the latest round of hostage release negotiations.

He specifically added that over the past few days, over 1000 trucks have entered Gaza.

Threat of Iran's attack on Israel

On April 1st, Israel launched a missile strike on Damascus in Syria, resulting in the destruction of the Iranian consulate building. At least seven Iranians were killed during the strike, including two generals.

Tehran accused Tel Aviv of the attack and promised a "harsh" response. Israel, in turn, warned Iran of the consequences and declared an increased readiness on the part of the IDF.

Media reports indicate that Iran hinted to the United States that Tehran would "selectively" attack Israel.
