Will Still has been persistently linked with the West Ham United manager’s job over the past year or so.
We all know by now that Will Still is a boyhood West Ham fan – that’s nothing new of course.
He was born in Belgium to English parents, and supported the Hammers as soon as he fell in love with the beautiful game.
He has been involved in coaching in some kind of capacity since 2014.
Now though, he could well be ready to take a step up to the next level, with a big move to England on the cards.
Still recently suggested that taking over at West Ham is his dream job.
And the Reims general manager Mathieu Lacour actually admitted that he’d be really proud of the 31-year-old, if he did end up taking over at the London Stadium.
So could it now be all systems go for David Sullivan? It seems like the Hammers owner has a big opportunity now…

The Reims manager could be set for big change this summer.
And David Sullivan may well be on red alert now.
That’s because Le 10 Sport are claiming that Reims fully expect the 31-year-old to be gone this summer.
So…where will he be off to? Sunderland have been heavily linked with a move to appoint the Hammers fan.
However, could West Ham sneak in and beat the Black Cats to his signature, if David Moyes is sent packing this summer? Potentially so.
Still’s current contract with Reims runs until the summer of 2025. So let’s say that Sullivan did want to take a punt on the 31-year-old tactician, compensation due to the Ligue 1 outfit would be minimal.
Whilst he’s not very experienced, he could still end up being an inspirational appointment from Sullivan.
Will Still footballing philosophy
The 31-year-old likes to implement a 4-2-3-1 system. He is very flexible and likes his team to build up from the back although he’s not averse to playing a counter attacking style either.
Still likes his players to counter press the opposition high up the pitch and he likes his side to operate quickly in transition.
He is incredibly intense and would bring some real excitement to the London Stadium. Appointing him would not come without risk though.
And I’m just not sure that Will Still is ready for the West Ham manager’s job just yet. In a few years time perhaps, but not now. It seems as though he’ll be there on a plate if Sullivan wants him though.
