'Yeah' - Kobbie Mainoo asked which ‘skill attribute’ he would pinch from one Man Utd star, he perfectly responded

Manchester United and England midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has revealed the missing skill attribute that he would love to pinch from a fellow club teammate.

Kobbie Mainoo has been widely praised in the Premier League season after his impact in the Manchester United first team under manager Erik ten Hag.

United boss Erik ten Hag brought Mainoo up from the youth academy and the Red Devils midfielder has quickly settled into the senior team in the current campaign.

Mainoo is enjoying remarkable success in his breakout season at Old Trafford, with the 18-year-old becoming a key midfield influence for the Red Devils.

The Stockport-born player has started in all 17 of his Premier League appearances this season, with Mainoo finding the back of the net on two occasions in the league.

Mainoo’s rapid rise at Old Trafford even caught the eye of England boss Gareth Southgate, who initially snubbed the United star for his senior international call-up.

However, Gareth Southgate quickly made a U-turn and called up the United talent to his England squad for the March international break.

Mainoo earned his senior England debut under Southgate and impressed during his cameo appearance in the 1-0 friendly defeat to Brazil at Wembley.

Southgate handed the England midfielder his first start in the follow-up match, with Mainoo showing once again what he is capable of in the 2-2 draw against Belgium.

Man Utd star Mainoo on skill he wants

Speaking to Manchester United’s official website, Kobbie Mainoo took part in a fan Q&A and candidly talked about his life both on the pitch and off it.

Mainoo opened up about his full name and the best way for fans to pronounce it, including the nickname that a “lot of people” call him by.

The Manchester United and England star also raved about one club legend and how he dreamed about the opportunity of playing alongside him at Old Trafford.

Mainoo, who revealed a skill he wants to learn from former Real Madrid star Casemiro, was asked about his United teammates and their best attributes.

The Three Lions international admitted that he would love to possess the explosive speed that United teammate Marcus Rashford has on the pitch.

When asked the one skill attribute he would take from a United player, Mainoo responded: “Maybe Rashy’s speed. Yeah, he’s rapid isn’t he [laughs]?”

Mainoo talks Rashford and Man Utd academy

Mainoo, much like Rashford and Scott McTominay, came through the United youth academy before securing his place in the Red Devils first team.

He went on to reveal the feeling of watching the likes of Rashford and McTominay emerge to prominence before sharing the pitch with them himself at Old Trafford.

“Yeah, it’s a bit surreal,” Mainoo said.

“I mean, it’s definitely at the start it was a bit surreal watching all these players on TV, playing with them on FIFA and stuff like that and then coming to training and seeing them every day.

“I mean, it’s definitely an amazing experience.”
