Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has now praised Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash at Anfield.
The Austrian takes Crystal Palace to Merseyside on Sunday as he searches for a first away win since replacing Roy Hodgson in February.
However, the south Londoners could well come up against a spirited Liverpool side, hungry to put things right again after Thursday’s humiliating 3-0 defeat to Atalanta.

Oliver Glasner says Liverpool are the best in the world at one thing
Well, the 49-year-old has described Liverpool as the best pressing side on the planet, claiming that opponents “never have time” on the ball up against the Reds.
Glasner is quoted by Crystal Palace’s official website as saying: “We’ve had a very good week in training, high quality and a lot of intensity, which is very important because Liverpool are maybe that team in the world that plays with the highest pressure – you never have time.”
We strongly agree.
When Liverpool are on it under Klopp, even the very best footballers on the planet can look like a frightened youth player making his debut.
One recent match in which Liverpool were particularly strong at pressing was the 1-1 draw against Manchester City back in March, when the Reds recorded a whopping 23 tackles and dispossessed Pep Guardiola’s side successfully on 14 occasions, as WhoScored shows.
Jurgen Klopp needs a special plan for Ebere Eze
In our view, Crystal Palace No.10 Eberechi Eze should not be pressed by Liverpool, and requires a special plan.
We have rarely seen such a press resistant footballer, as Klopp saw at Anfield last season when the England international eased past Fabinho and Trent Alexander-Arnold before assisting Wilfried Zaha to make it 1-0.
We feel it would make more sense to hand Wataru Endo a man-marking mission and pin the Japan international on Eze, rather than run the risk of the Londoner evading the press and potentially taking three or four players out of the game.
Whatever happens on Sunday, Liverpool owe Anfield a much better performance – nobody looked bothered during Thursday’s defeat to Atalanta whatsoever.
