'I've gone': Peter Crouch says who wins on Sunday - Arsenal or Aston Villa

Peter Crouch has predicted the outcome of Aston Villa’s Premier League clash against Arsenal on Sunday.

Unai Emery’s side head to The Emirates looking to get their top four ambitions back on track after a challenging run of league form.

Last Saturday’s draw with Brentford was compounded by Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest.

As a result, Ange Postecoglou’s men leapfrogged Villa and also hold an all-important game in hand. The visitors cannot afford any further needless slip-ups.

Peter Crouch – who represented Villa as a player – has cast his thoughts ahead of the massive clash in North London.

Mikel Arteta’s side are riding high at the top of the Premier League. However, due to Liverpool and Manchester City’s relentless form, the Gunners will likely have to win every game to land their first title since 2004.

Talking on the Peter Crouch Podcast, the 43-year-old has backed the hosts to record an impressive win.

“They’re strong favourites for this match, but having said that, Villa are a good side, and they could sneak something.

“I’d love to see both clubs [Tottenham and Villa] in the Champions League. For the sake of the league, it would be great for it to go right to the wire and have a game right at the end of the season to see who gets fourth.

Despite his admiration for his former club, Crouch has backed Arteta’s side to record to land an emphatic victory. “I’ve gone 4-1,” he added.

What is Aston Villa’s injury situation ahead of Arsenal clash on Sunday?

Villa have been boosted by the return of two players ahead of Sunday’s trip to the capital.

Matty Cash and Clement Lenglet have returned to training and are available for selection. Cash has been absent since the international break after he picked up a hamstring issue with Poland.

Lenglet – an ever-present in 2024 – missed the 3-3 draw with Brentford on Saturday. Jacob Ramsey, Boubacar Kamara, Tyrone Mings, and Emiliano Buendia are all out until the start of next season.
