Rio Ferdinand names the two games Arsenal will definitely lose in title run-in

Arsenal are leading Liverpool and Manchester City in the Premier League title race, but Rio Ferdinand has made a worrying prediction.

The Gunners, at the time of writing, are on top of the table. Winning the title is in our hands, but we have the toughest run-in among the three horses in the title race.

That puts the pressure on Mikel Arteta‘s men, but our stats in the Premier League since the turn of 2024 show that we are capable of going all the way.

However, Ferdinand believes Arsenal will definitely lose two of our final seven league games.

Rio Ferdinand makes worrying Arsenal prediction

The Premier League title race is turning out to be a really exciting one, isn’t it?

Arsenal are on top of the table after 31 games with 71 points. Liverpool have the same number of points but are a below us thanks to our superior goal difference.

Defending champions Manchester City, who many people still view as the favourites, are a point below Arsenal and Liverpool and are currently placed third.

All three teams have a few difficult fixtures coming up in the Premier League, but we must say, Arsenal’s run-in is the toughest.

On TNT Sports, Rio Ferdinand and Laura Woods predicted the scores of each of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City’s final seven games in the Premier League.

Woods, who is an Arsenal fan, boldly predicted that the Gunners will win every one of our remaining games in the league this season.

Ferdinand, however, believes Mikel Arteta’s side will only win five of the remaining seven games.

He has predicted a 2-1 defeat for Arsenal at Tottenham and then a 3-2 loss at Old Trafford against Manchester United.

Where will Arsenal finish if Rio Ferdinand’s predictions come true?

The Premier League title race is really tight this season, and Arsenal may have to be near-perfect if they want to win it.

Rio Ferdinand’s prediction of two losses in five games is not ideal at all. We will likely miss out on the title if that happens, especially if the Manchester United legend’s predictions about Manchester City’s games come true.

Beginning with Liverpool, Ferdinand has predicted that Jurgen Klopp‘s men will draw three of their remaining seven games – against Fulham, Everton and Aston Villa.

As for Manchester City, the TNT Sports pundit has predicted seven wins in seven.

If his predictions do come true, Manchester City will retain their title with 89 points, while Arsenal and Liverpool will take the next two spots with 86 points. The Gunners will finish second thanks to our superior goal difference.
