Clinton Morrison says one Wolves player had to 'do better' to stop Forest from scoring

Wolves and Forest took each other on this Saturday, with a high-scoring draw being the result, and now one player has been criticised.

For Wolves, a 2-2 draw against Forest was probably a fair result, one that Gary O’Neil‘s side are lucky to have got.

This result was achieved by Matheus Cunha being brilliant as he scored two goals for Old Gold.

These weren’t enough to secure a win though, with Morgan Gibbs-White and Danilo scoring for Forest.

But one of these goals has now been identified as avoidable by Clinton Morrison.

Speaking on Sky Sports, he explained who he thought was at fault.

Clinton Morrison slams Jose Sa for not doing better to stop Forest

On Soccer Saturday for Sky Sports, Clinton Morrison was on Wolves duty as he watched the visit to the City Ground.

He was treated to a high-scoring affair, but there was one goal which shouldn’t have gone in, with one Wolves player needing to do better.

“Watching the replay,” Morrison explained, “I think Sa should do better because it doesn’t go in the corner, it goes under Jose Sa.”

Sa himself will be the most aggrieved at allowing Gibbs-White to score against him, considering the celebration which he then pulled out.

Despite this being poor Sa had an excellent game

While Morrison may have blamed Sa for this goal going in, he later admitted that the Portuguese goalkeeper was in good form.

Forest probably should’ve won the game, as Wolves weren’t playing well, but Sa kept the game level.

Despite conceding twice, according to FotMob, Sa made seven saves which amounted to 0.26 goals prevented, with five of these saves inside the box.

He also made one high claim and eight recoveries in a performance that more than made up for conceding a goal Clinton Morrison thinks he shouldn’t have.
