Brian Laws thinks one Nottingham Forest player had a point to prove vs Wolves yesterday, he was class

Brian Laws felt that one Nottingham Forest star really enjoyed himself yesterday during the 2-2 draw against Wolves. The Reds remain embroiled in relegation difficulty after the City Ground stalemate.

Forest fell behind during the game courtesy of a goal from Matheus Cunha but quickly responded through Morgan Gibbs-White who enjoyed scoring against his old club.

In the second half, Forest took the lead. Danilo rifled home from close range but just moments later, Cunha notched another goal to stun the Reds and pull Wolves level.

After this result, Forest do remain rooted in fourth bottom of the Premier League. The Reds did gain a point on Luton yesterday but in fairness, relegation is in the balance.

After yesterday’s game, one man came in for some praise from Laws – who used to play for the Reds in the eighties and nineties and he felt that he had a really good game.

What Brian Laws said about Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White

The Reds have to win games if they’re to stay up this season. At the moment it does feel as though the team are almost resigned to the fact that Championship football is on offer next season.

However, yesterday, Laws felt that one player did extremely well against Wolves and he chose to rave about the player during the 90-minute Premier League clash.

Gibbs-White seemingly enjoys playing against Wolves. Last season, he enjoyed a nice moment in silencing the opposition supporters during a Carabao Cup quarter-final and he did the same yesterday.

In a bizarre twist of fate, Gibbs-White wasn’t taking set pieces during yesterday’s clash. However, he managed to score from one when equalising at the end of the first half.

Laws raved about the player afterwards, telling BBC Radio Nottingham: “He’s going around shushing some of the Wolves players – they’ve probably been in his ear all game.”

Forest need main man fit and firing

It was nice to see Gibbs-White score yesterday. He has a bit of history with Wolves and his departure was clearly more acrimonious than people made it out to be at the time.

Gibbs-White enjoyed his goal so much yesterday. He celebrated in front of the Wolves fans and it’s clear that they didn’t welcome his antics during this Premier League contest.

The 24-year-old probably could do with more goals but that is something that will come over time. He did add to his tally yesterday but more is required from the Forest man in that sense.

Gibbs-White finished with the captain’s armband yesterday. Forest fans will hope that he can wear it more often than not in the final five games and hopefully, the Reds can remain in the Premier League.
