Ukraine will receive the new Patriot air defense system as soon as possible. Assessing the delivery timeline accurately is challenging due to the complexity of the process, according to the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force, Ilia Yevlash.

"Understandably, it's a certain process when it's necessary to import, deliver all these installations - launchers, command posts, it's not just one vehicle. All of them need to be delivered to the territory of Ukraine. This may take some time, I wouldn't want to say how much, as the adversary is also monitoring the situation," the spokesperson noted.

According to Yevlash, the delivery of the Patriot will happen "as soon as possible."

"It will be a significant reinforcement. Even one installation will play a very significant role in defending Ukraine's airspace," he added.

Germany to transfer another Patriot

Yesterday, it became known that Germany will transfer an additional Patriot air defense system to Ukraine. The information was confirmed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, after a conversation with the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz. He thanked the chancellor for supplying another additional Patriot system to Ukraine.

The President's Office noted that Germany will provide Patriot systems, IRIS-T, and Skynex, missiles, and ammunition for existing air defense missile systems.

Patriot for Ukraine

Ukraine received its first system from Germany in April 2023, and the second one in December.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that to fully cover Ukraine, 25 Patriot systems are needed, with 6-8 batteries each.

At the same time, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba announced that Ukraine has found 100 available Patriots worldwide, but initially wants to receive seven for protection against Russian missiles.
