Air Serbia And Menzies Aviation Make History With First All-Electric Aircraft Turnaround, Significantly Reducing Carbon Footprint In Domestic Aviation

In a monumental leap toward environmental responsibility, Air Serbia, in partnership with Menzies Aviation, has achieved a historic milestone: the first all-electric aircraft turnaround. This groundbreaking endeavor signals a paradigm shift in the aviation industry’s approach to sustainability.

The use of these specialized vehicles for aircraft pushback, baggage transport, and others, will reduce the carbon footprint in domestic aviation.

Jiri Marek, CEO of Air Serbia, expressed satisfaction with the successful implementation of the all-electric turnaround, emphasizing its significance in the airline’s commitment to socially responsible practices.

“We are extremely pleased with the successful implementation of the first all-electric
turnaround at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, achieved in collaboration with Menzies Aviation.
This initiative represents a step towards reducing carbon footprint. Air Serbia continuously
