Clinton Morrison winds up Kris Boyd on Sky Sports and makes Celtic support clear

The next Glasgow Derby between Celtic and Rangers has taken a massive new outlook after Ross County’s win over the Ibrox side today.

The 3-3 draw on Sunday kept the title race in Celtic’s hands. Brendan Rodgers knows that if he wins his remaining five fixtures the title is his.

However, the Dingwall result has taken the pressure off the Celtic boss and placed it right on Philippe Clement’s shoulders ahead of the final Glasgow Derby whenever that may be.

But it was on Sky Sports yesterday that one pundit nailed his Celtic colours to the mast as he took up punditry duties alongside Kris Boyd.

Boys was asked to round up last weekend’s Glasgow Derby result and Morrison was quick to show how unhappy he was at the referee’s decision to add on so much extra time at the end.

Morrison said on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday, “Matondo scores on the 110th minute. Where has he got all that time from? Unbelievable.”

And not only that, as the former Rangers striker admitted that Celtic are now in the driving seat, Morrison couldn’t wait to have another wee dig at his colleague.

As Boyd said the next Glasgow Derby at Celtic Park is not likely to determine the outcome of the league title race, Morrison continued, “I’ll be there, in my Celtic shirt. Go on Celtic!”

With Celtic four points clear now and five games left to go, Rodgers is well in the driving seat in the title race.

With the Scottish Cup up next against Aberdeen next weekend, Celtic get a break from the madness of the Scottish Premiership title race as Rodgers and the fans focus on looking to secure a double in his first season back since leaving the Hoops in 2019.
