Manchester United fans are all cracking the same jokes about Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp farewell documentary

It has been such a poor start to the month for Manchester United that sometimes cheer comes from elsewhere.

A poor season for Manchester United could end with a change in manager. Although, we would have to concede that this change has become an event we have grown used to, every two or three years.

Over at Liverpool, they are into unfamiliar territory, with Jurgen Klopp announcing his exit earlier this year.

Klopp has managed to win one Premier League title over the past decade, and had hoped to win a second on his way out. It doesn’t look like it..

Manchester United fans mock Liverpool’s planned documentary

When it was announced back in January that Jurgen Klopp would be leaving Liverpool, they were very much in title contention.

They promptly announced plans to immediately start filming a behind the scenes documentary, to capture what they hoped would be a glorious end.

But now those hopes are slipping away, thanks to successive home defeats to Atalanta and Crystal Palace.

Klopp is infamous for being a sore loser and not handling defeats well, and the fly-on-the-wall footage in the documentary has potential to be quite entertaining.

Manchester United fans have suddenly switched from wanting to immediately skip and ignore the imminent Klopp documentary, to looking forward to seeing some extra details from their suddenly excruciating end to the season.

Supporters on X have been discussing it and making similar jokes.

One fan wrote: “When’s that Klopp farewell documentary coming out ? Gonna be a great watch can’t wait.”

Another said: “We get to rewatch this Liverpool downfall in Klopp’s documentary.”

One joked: “They’re gonna call klopp’s documentary ‘all for nothing’.”

A fourth comment was a blistering takedown, with one fan commenting: “That Klopp farewell documentary gonna be a great watch. The mentality monsters who crumbled as soon as things heated up.”

Another comment read: “That Klopp farewell documentary is looking box office right now. Fairy tale to footballing tragedy. That Amad Diallo United segment is going to hit like crack.”

These comments were echoed with another: “That Klopp farewell documentary has all of a sudden become a must watch.”

“Can’t bloody wait to see the Klopp farewell tour documentary. The way their season has fallen apart will look beautiful in 8k,” wrote another.

A chance to rewatch Amad’s winning goal

The highlight of Manchester United’s season is, to this point, Amad’s sensational extra-time winner in the FA Cup quarter-final.

It’s goal we can rewatch again and again, and will get the chance to do so from another perspective in the forthcoming documentary.

Speaking yesterday after their 1-0 loss to Palace, Jurgen Klopp blamed Liverpool’s collapse on their defeat to United, and subsequent failure to win at Old Trafford in the league last week too.

He described the 4-3 loss as a ‘catastrophe’ which derailed their season. If that’s how he’s talking almost a month on, it will be worth the wait to see his implosion in the immediate aftermath of the defeat.
