Liverpool scouts are regularly watching very creative attacker, they are now in talks to sign him

According to the latest reports, Liverpool’s scouts have been regularly following a very creative attacker, and have started talks to sign him.

Even though Liverpool don’t quite yet know who will replace Jurgen Klopp this summer, it doesn’t stop the club’s recruitment team from sitting idle. They will already be exploring potential transfer deals, both incoming and departing.

Especially, since Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes coming into the boardroom means Liverpool will have some sort of direction already. The duo will have a vision that will not be stringent on the new manager’s plans.

Although their goal will be to find a manager who aligns with their vision.

It promises to be a crucial summer ahead, and that is why Liverpool will want to plan things well in advance.

Finding the club’s new manager, potential targets to bring to Anfield or even players who the club could consider selling will all be of the utmost priority.

And it seems like the club is already planning ahead and making crucial moves before the window has even opened.

Liverpool transfer latest on exciting Bilal El Khannouss

With FSG’s multi-club plans, Liverpool’s recruitment policy could change under the guidance of Edwards and Hughes.

It would not be a surprise to see Liverpool pursuing younger players in the market, who have long-term potential rather than offer immediate quality for the first team.

One player who fits that profile is Bilal El Khannouss. He has been in great form at Genk this season and at 19-years-old he is already a regular senior international for Morocco.

According to a report from Voetbal Krant Liverpool and Tottenham’s scouts have been watching him ‘weekly’ recently and have started exploratory talks about a potential summer move.

Who is Bilal El Khannouss? And what could he bring to Liverpool?

El Khannouss has been predominantly used as an attacking midfielder for Genk this season. He has eight assists and three goals in 43 matches for his club so far.

Those are decent numbers for an attacking midfielder, but perhaps not extraordinary.

What is impressive though are his underlying numbers. According to Wyscout, he ranks in third place for passes into the penalty area (4.49 per 90) and in fourth place for smart passes (0.91 per 90) among players who have played 2000 minutes in the Jupiler Pro League this season.

He’s clearly a very creative player, who thrives at sending through balls and finding his teammates inside the box.

It will be interesting to see what Liverpool will do next.
