Liverpool are now looking to beat Manchester City to sign ‘phenomenal’ attacker

Liverpool are reportedly looking to sign a phenomenal attacker and beat Manchester City in the transfer race.

When it comes to the future much of it is still a mystery for Liverpool. We know who will be making decisions in the boardroom with the return of Michael Edwards, and the arrival of Richard Hughes.

But beyond that not much else is known about the post Jurgen Klopp era. We can make an assumption that the new manager will be Ruben Amorim, who seems to be the favourite candidate.

However, there is no guarantee that will be the case.

Nonetheless, even despite the uncertainty Liverpool will have to be planning ahead for a busy summer transfer window where there could be plenty of twists and turns.

Why Jamal Musiala is on Liverpool’s transfer radar

One possibility could even pip Liverpool against Manchester City in the transfer window. And while on paper this seems like an unfair fight – Manchester City’s financial might is far greater – there are other benefits Liverpool can offer that their rivals cannot.

One of it is the connection with the club’s supporters. Anfield is unparallel in world football. It’s a stadium that holds great prestige as one of the best in the world.

On top of that, Liverpool is also a club with a clear identity and a rich history of success. Few players can resist the temptation of the Reds offering the chance to join them.

This summer, according to The Independent, Jamal Musiala could be on the move with Manchester City currently leading the race to sign him. However, the report claims Liverpool are also in the race.

Musiala being on Liverpool’s radar makes sense. He is a top talent, and he is someone who can be an astute replacement if Luis Diaz or Mohamed Salah (or if they both) leave the club.

He has been described as a ‘phenomenal’ player and has a huge future in the game being only 21-years-old.
