Crystal Minkoff’s “fortress” house she shares with husband, Rob, was robbed while away in Japan, she revealed to Jeff Lewis. Despite having security and fences, she’s now going “heavy duty” on her home.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was on holiday with her husband when her girlfriend was housesitting her home. The sitter was left “shaken up” when four intruders suddenly jumped the fence.
Crystal Minkoff’s house robbed
During spring break, Crystal Minkoff‘s house was robbed while she was in Japan. She posted on social media she was out of town, which led to four intruders breaking into her home.
At the time, a friend was housesitting the property. She told Jeff Lewis on SiriusXM: “My friends had to deal with it, face to face. They’re okay,” before adding how “they didn’t arm it properly”.
Although the criminals figured out how to get into the property, Crystal said the same method “would no longer be available,” explaining how they “hopped” the fence and left her sitters “very shaken up”.
She goes ‘heavy duty’ after robbery
Crystal is planning to go “heavy duty” on her home this week, despite already having security cameras and high fencing in place. When coming face-to-face with the house sitter, intruders soon ran away.
“She FaceTimed me, they were like, just freaked out, and I just felt so bad, but it really reminds me and reminded Rob that we need to step it up even more. Every time we hear a story, we step it up,” she said.
She plans to raise the walls and fences and “go in hard” as a result of the terrifying incident. Crystal said her friend is “so lucky” the intruders decided to leave straight after seeing her.
Jeff Lewis calls home a ‘fortress’
Jeff Lewis has driven past Crystal’s home himself and couldn’t understand how intruders got in, calling the mansion a “fortress”. He said: “Like, I’m shocked, I don’t even know how they got in.”
Although Crystal recently starred on his SiriusXM radio show, they haven’t always been on good terms. Jeff Lewis dragged the RHOBH star at BravoCon back in November 2023 before reaching out to her.
“Did you all see episode one of season 13? Do you notice how Crystal didn’t talk the entire time? It was the best episode I’ve ever seen,” Lewis told Andy Cohen during the Ask Andy panel.
On the November 6, 2023, episode of his SiriusXM radio show, Lewis said he sent Minkoff an apology text and she jokingly called him a “c*********” in response, which he says didn’t bother him at all.
