‘Look at his technique’: Peter Crouch says £33m Newcastle United player is simply ‘unbelievable’

Peter Crouch has raved about a Newcastle United midfielder who impressed him a lot against Tottenham Hotspur.

Newcastle United have not had as good a season as last year, but Eddie Howe’s side are certainly giving it a push in the final weeks of the campaign.

The Magpies, who want to sign Lloyd Kelly in the summer transfer window, have won four of their last six Premier League games and have picked up six points from their past two.

Newcastle eased past Tottenham Hotspur at St. James’ Park in the Premier League this past weekend.

Howe’s team were better from start to finish, and former Tottenham striker Peter Crouch was impressed with one particular Newcastle midfielder.

The TNT Sports pundit has noted just how good Bruno Guimaraes was in the match and has outlined the attributes of the £33.3 million (Sky Sports) Brazil international midfielder that make him special.

Bruno was a force to be reckoned with in the middle of the park and also gave an assist.

What Peter Crouch likes about Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes

Crouch said about Bruno on TNT Sports 1 (2:54 pm, April 13, 2024): “Honestly, at times, I thought it was unbelievable. He has got a bit of spikiness about him, hasn’t he?

“Look at his technique and his ability. He gets back, his work-rate is so good. His passing range is fantastic, at times he goes past people, he knows when to pick a pass, there is so much to admire about his game, and he is a huge cog in the midfield for Newcastle.”

Bruno Guimaraes is in demand

Bruno Guimaraes is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and is a key player for Newcastle United.

When fit and available, the Brazil international is one of the first names on Eddie Howe’s teamsheet.

The 26-year-old has scored four goals and given six assists in 31 Premier League games this season.

Bruno’s performances for Newcastle this campaign have caught the attention of two major European clubs.

HITC revealed in March that Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have been scouting Bruno, who is frustrated with how Newcastle’s season has panned out.
