Danish businesses to receive $43 million to support operations in Ukraine

Morten Bødskov and Yulia Svyrydenko

Bødskov was speaking at the Ukraine Investment Forum hosted by Denmark.

“Ukraine's fight for freedom is our fight for freedom,” Ukraine’s Economy Ministry quotes Bødskov.

“With the additional funds in the Danish-Ukrainian Fund, we once again emphasize that Denmark supports Ukraine's untiring fight for freedom... These are all very important steps, especially as all the crimes [of Russian dictator] Vladimir Putin require one response: for us to stand even more united with Ukraine.”

Ukraine's First Deputy PM Yulia Svyrydenko noted that over 100 Danish companies are currently working in Ukraine, adding that the Danish-Ukrainian Fund is aimed at boosting private sector activity.

The fund was established by the Danish government in March 2023.

According to Svyrydenko, the specialized investment fund will finance projects involving the best Danish technologies and innovative solutions and will be available for both the public and private sectors.
