‘Big fan’: Jurgen Klopp really rates 18-year-old gem who’s coming through at Liverpool now – journalist

Liverpool’s academy has paid dividends massively this season.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones have continued to star for the first-team, while Conor Bradley and Jarell Quansah have both enjoyed breakout campaigns.

The kids are alright at Liverpool, and, by the sounds of it, there are a few more on the production line right now just waiting to break through.

Speaking on Covering Liverpool, Neil Jones has been discussing one Liverpool youngster who Jurgen Klopp is said to be a huge fan of.

Jurgen Klopp a huge fan of Liverpool teenager

Jones spoke about Jayden Danns’ development, claiming that Klopp is a big fan of the teenage star.

“I tell you if you watch the last 12 months of Jayden Danns you’re seeing a player going in the right direction. Danns is very much a number nine in the Nunez bracket rather than the others,” Jones said.

“I know Jurgen Klopp has been particularly enamoured with him he’s been a big fan of him since he joined first-team training earlier this year, and it will be interesting to see what the next manager and staff think of him, because there’s no doubt in my mind there’s a player there.”

Jayden Danns has a bright future

This young man could be a star of the future.

Danns has been clinical in front of goal for the Liverpool youth teams this term, and he seems to have a scary level of confidence about him.

If he can refine his game and add a level of maturity and control, he could be a star.

Unfortunately, Jurgen Klopp won’t be around to oversee this development in the coming years, but, as Jones says, whoever the new manager is may well fancy giving Danns more first-team chances as this is a player who looks like he could reach the very top of the game.
