“I never expected him to reach these levels already, I must admit. I liked him at Man City, but I didn’t think he was as special as he is, but he’s now really forcing himself into the England reckoning for this summer,” Owen said.

Owen says he’s been shocked by Palmer’s rise this season, and, to be honest, he’s not the only one.
Indeed, while some may have rated Palmer highly heading into this campaign, there probably wasn’t a single fan in the country who’d back him to score as many goals as Erling Haaland this season.
There’s a genuine chance that Palmer wins the Premier League Golden Boot, and that is truly sensational for a player who is on the wing for a team that is struggling so much.
Palmer is very much a world-class talent, and if Chelsea can build around him in the coming years, he could take the Blues back to the top of the game.
