The three Eintracht Frankfurt players Liverpool may want to sign after scouts flown to Germany

Liverpool are reportedly ramping up their preparations for the upcoming transfer market.

Although they don’t yet know the identity of their next manager, the Reds do at least have a top recruitment team now in place.

As a result, they can begin to target areas of the first-team squad that need improving. As usual, this will be a far-ranging endeavour which will take in the scouting of a large amount of players. Already we’ve seen reports that Liverpool’s scouts have been out and about over recent weeks.

Today brought more news along those lines, with journalist Fabrizio Romano confirming that the Reds’ talent spotters have been looking at Eintracht Frankfurt this season.

So, with a number of Eintracht players already rumoured to be on Liverpool’s radar, we’ve taken a look at three who could be the object of the Reds’ interest.

Willian Pacho

After bolstering their midfield last season, some would argue that Liverpool’s defence needs a similar revamping this summer.

Jarell Quansah has been an unexpected success in 2023/24. But with Joel Matip on his way out of the door, Ibrahima Konate injury-prone and doubts over Virgil van Dijk’s long-term future, a new centre-back should be targeted.

And if Liverpool have really been watching Eintracht, then Pacho is the man who could fit that bill.

The Reds have reportedly already made contact with the German club over buying the 22-year-old. Left-footed, young and with plenty of potential, Pacho looks likely to be on the move this summer. It could well be to Anfield.

Omar Marmoush

Watchers of Eintracht this season will likely have had their eye most taken by the Eagles flying winger – Omar Marmoush.

The 25-year-old, who has 10 Bundesliga goals this season, has reportedly caught Liverpool’s attention as a possible replacement for countryman Mohamed Salah.

Fast, skilful and capable of playing across the forward line, Marmoush is a player who looks ready to step up a level. Liverpool will surely have been impressed.

Hugo Larsson

Finally, Liverpool surely can’t help but have been taken in by the burgeoning talent of Sweden international Hugo Larsson.

Despite being just 19, Larsson has already made himself a key player in Dino Topmoller’s side. He looks likely to be on the move to one of Europe’s bigger teams at some stage.

Liverpool are reported to be one of the sides taking an interest in Larsson, who has been described as a mix of Man City superstars Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri.

With the Reds perhaps in need of a long-term option in defensive midfield, Larsson will certainly be one on their radar. Keep your eyes on Eintracht for the rest of the season Reds, any or all of these three could one day end up at Liverpool.
