Unai Emery’s Aston Villa future doubted

Tim Sherwood names Aston Villa star as favourite Premier League player

One name that continues to be dotted around Villa Park is Tim Sherwood. The former manager of the Birmingham side took the Villians to an FA Cup final in his tenure and is credited for Jack Grealish’s breakthrough.

While his managerial journey has not been kind to him since, he continues to associate himself with his former club.

Now, he has recently come out and stated that Emi Martinez is his ‘favourite’ goalkeeper in the division.

Moussa Diaby beats Premier League duo in impressive statistic

Plenty of Villa first-teamers have stood out throughout the campaign. Emery has been able to turn the existing squad of players into European contenders while also improving the side.

One of the newest additions is Diaby who joined the club for a record fee in the summer. While it took the winger a while to get going, it is clear that he is now hitting the heights originally expected of him.

Now, one statistic shows how much he offered to the Villa team. Diaby is only making 19.4 touches per key pass, the second-highest in the division.
