John Hartson sends Celtic a message after Rangers drop points at Dundee

Celtic were handed a massive boost in the race for the Scottish Premiership last night after Rangers dropped more points at Dundee.

The game eventually went ahead after the recent spate of wet weather caused the game to be postponed twice.

And after Rangers’ loss to Ross County on Sunday, the pressure was on the Ibrox side not just to win last night but to also put in a performance.

Confidence was low in the Ibrox camp and with just five games to go, Rangers failed to inspire at Dens Park as they handed Celtic a huge title advantage heading into the split.

Keep it simple Celtic

That seems to be the message from John Hartson as the former Celtic hero took to social media last night to send his old club a message directly after the final whistle blew at Dens:

Whilst the Celtic fans celebrated another massive turning point in the league, Hartson preferred the cautious route.

And whilst not one Celtic fan will take anything for granted, confidence is high going into the final five games of the season.

Celtic’s title run in

The Scottish Cup awaits Celtic this weekend and whilst the Aberdeen game will take care of itself, the fans will still have one eye on the title race this weekend.

After the Hampden clash Celtic now have five fixtures to tie up the title starting with, ironically, Dundee at Dens Park on the 28th of April.

Hearts then await the Hoops on the 4th of May at Celtic Park and that is then followed up by the big one.

The final Glasgow Derby of the season on the 11th of May now has the potential of being a title decider and that is then followed up by a tricky away tie to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on the 15th of May.

And the curtain call on the SPFL season will be at Paradise against St Mirren on the 18th of May where the 1230pm kick-off has the potential of being one huge title party for Brendan Rodgers.
