Attack on airfield in Dzhankoi

On April 17, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea, in particular, in Dzhankoi. Residents reported strikes near the local airfield and a fire. Ukraine was in no hurry to comment on the incident.

For example, the spokesperson for the South military command, Natalia Humeniuk, only noted that the Russian airfield, being a military facility of the Russian Federation, is a legitimate target for strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

In the evening, RBC-Ukraine's sources confirmed that the strike on the airfield in Dzhankoi was the result of successful actions by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. However, the consequences and results of the strike are not yet known. In turn, the Atesh guerrillas said that the strike at least hit the S-400 and the area of the Russian command center at the Dzhankoi airfield.
