Moyes now likely to leave West Ham with ambitious move for 50-yo to replace him, talkSPORT claim

David Moyes is reportedly now likely to leave West Ham United in the summer, as the club look to bring in a hugely ambitious replacement for him.

If West Ham United manager David Moyes is to leave this summer, there will be much speculation as to who will replace him.

There are eight high-profile managers who are currently out of work who will undoubtedly be linked with the Hammers job, if Moyes is indeed moved on.

Moyes, 60, has done a fine job at the London Stadium since returning for the second time back in December 2019.

He has guided us to three successive European campaigns and ended our 43-year wait for a major trophy last season.

However, the general consensus at the club is that the Scot has taken us as far as he can. His style of play is not conducive with consistent success, and a change is needed if we are to the reach the next level.

It seems like that’s exactly what is about to happen this summer…

David Moyes now likely to leave West Ham

The former Everton, Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Everton manager appears to be finished at the Hammers.

In my opinion, only a top seven finish in the Premier League table this season will be enough to save him. Either that or success in the Europa League which, let’s face it, looks pretty unlikely right now.

If there is a big change in the managerial department at the London Stadium before the start of next season, it would be nice if the board showed some real ambition with who they appoint.

And it seems as though that might just be the case…

According to a report from talkSPORT, Moyes is likely to leave the club when the season finishes, with both him and the board aware of the fractured relationship with the majority of the club’s fans.

And it is claimed that Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel could replace him.

The 50-year-old German is set to leave Bayern this summer, and has already been heavily linked with a move to West Ham.

Tuchel would be sensational appointment for West Ham, there is absolutely no doubting that.

Whatever people say, he was a success at Stamford Bridge. He won the Champions League during his time with the Blues and had his team competing with Premier League juggernauts Manchester City and Liverpool for large parts of the season.

He favours a possession-based system with a front three who are always interchanging positions. If you need evidence of the quality of football that Tuchel is capable of implementing, just watch a video of Chelsea dismantling Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in April 2022.

The German is an astute tactician, and he would take West Ham to another level entirely if he took over from Moyes, I’m absolutely certain of it.

With David Moyes apparently set to leave West Ham, there could be big change at the London Stadium very soon indeed.
