Martin Odegaard is one of the best attacking midfield players in world football.
The Arsenal captain has been absolutely fantastic for the Gunners over the past few years, and it’s impossible to not be very impressed by the Norwegian.
However, despite the fact Odegaard has been fantastic, Arsenal have been tenuously linked with a few other players in his position.
Indeed, Jamal Musiala has been touted as an Arsenal target, and now, speaking to TNT Sports on TikTok, Rio Ferdinand has made a claim about the Arsenal target and the man he may well end up competing with at the Emirates.

Ferdinand was asked to compare the 21-year-old to the Arsenal star.
“Odegaard or Musiala?” Ferdinand was asked.
“Oh, Musiala,” Ferdinand said.

Now this is a comparison that is very difficult to make.
These two are two of the best attacking midfielders in the world at the moment, and it has to be said that Odegaard may be ever so slightly ahead of Musiala.
As much as we love the German, Odegaard is doing it at the very top level in the Premier League with Arsenal, and he’s tearing teams to bits.
Of course, numbers and statistics aren’t the be-all and end-all, but Odegaard is outperforming Musiala in terms of goals and assists while playing in a superior league.
With that being said, Musiala is just 21 years of age, so he may well overtake Odegaard at some point in the near future, but, in our view, the Arsenal skipper is ever so slightly ahead as a player right now.
One thing is for sure, if Arsenal do end up signing Musiala, they will have the potential to field one of the most frightening midfield pairings the Premier League has ever seen.
