Jamie Carragher has now predicted result of Everton vs Nottingham Forest

Jamie Carragher has now predicted the Premier League clash between Everton and Nottingham Forest this Sunday.

Make no mistake about it – this is an enormously significant game for both sides, and could well be the difference between survival or relegation.

Everton currently find themselves sat 16th in the Premier League after 32 matches with 27 points.

In regards to Nottingham Forest, Nuno Espirito Santo‘s men sit 17th after 33 games, on 26 points.

Therefore, a win for Everton this Sunday could potentially be costly for the Reds, as the Toffees would still have a game in hand as well as a four-point cushion.

So, what does Jamie Carragher expect to happen when Nottingham Forest travel to Everton? Let’s take a look…

Jamie Carragher predicts Everton vs Nottingham Forest

Well, the 46-year-old is predicting a tough afternoon for Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

When making his predictions for Sky Sports Super 6 this weekend, Carragher went with a 1-0 win for Everton.

The man from Bootle is also backing Luton Town to record a 2-1 win over Brentford, which would actually have Nottingham Forest in the relegation zone if both predictions come true.

Clearly, Carragher is not putting his money on Nottingham Forest to survive this season – to say the least.

Nuno has to get something

Nuno simply has to get a result out of Sunday’s clash on Merseyside when you look at Nottingham Forest’s remaining fixtures.

The Reds welcome Manchester City to the City Ground after Everton are out of the way.

Nottingham Forest then see Chelsea visit the City Ground – with that game sandwiched by away days at Sheffield United and Burnley.

These are all problematic for different reasons.

The individual quality of Manchester City and Chelsea is surely going to cause issues for Nottingham Forest – it will take a huge effort to get anything from those games up against the likes of Erling Haaland, Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne and Cole Palmer.

Then – while the clashes with Burnley and Sheffield United seem easy on paper – those are potential banana skins, given the fact both seem destined to go down and may therefore play with freedom, under no pressure.

Performances have been strong – we even believe Nottingham Forest should have defeated Wolves quite easily last time out – but it is time for Nuno to turn these promising displays into points.
