Real Betis now showing an interest in 28-year-old Tottenham player Ange Postecoglou has said can leave

Tottenham Hotspur are now receiving an interest from La Liga side Real Betis in one of their players ahead of the summer.

The upcoming window could be really busy for Daniel Levy with Tottenham expected to see a number of arrivals and departures.

Ange Postecoglou‘s side have impressed in the Australian’s first season in the Premier League with European football likely to be on the menu next term.

In his time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Postecoglou has seen the hierarchy provide him with a number of new options.

The Australian has already seen the majority of his signings play significant roles in the starting XI with the likes of Timo Werner and Micky van de Ven just two of the players who’ve hit the ground running.

But the summer market is also expected to see players offloaded over the coming months with Postecoglou already putting together a real base of regular players.

And there have certainly been some players who have simply not made the cut for Postecoglou.

A number of players have been sent out on loan, but there is also a number of players who have remained at the club but failed to impress the 58-year-old.

Potential exit is opening up for 28-year-old at Tottenham over the summer

Tottenham will be looking to move on several players who have simply not made the cut for Postecoglou this season.

Players like Tanguy Ndombele have been sent out on another loan deal this season with the expectation for him to be moved on this summer.

The Frenchman has failed to impress at Galatasaray and it is believed Postecoglou has now seen enough of the midfielder.

And then there are individuals like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg who has played a role under Postecoglou this season, but a much reduced one.

The Dane is also expected to move on this summer and he could be joined by Giovani Lo Celso.

According to AS, La Liga side Real Betis are already showing an interest in the Argentine midfielder ahead of the upcoming window.

Betis have already had Lo Celso at the club before Spurs made the £55m move to sign the midfielder.

What Ange Postecoglou has already said about Giovani Lo Celso’ future

Having remained at the club over the summer window, it has not turned out to be the season which the World Cup winner would have hoped for.

Lo Celso has seriously struggled for minutes under Postecoglou with James Maddison taking up the role as the playmaker.

And the England international has kept his spot in the starting XI despite struggling to find his best form in recent months.

Here is a summary of Maddison and Lo Celso’s seasons so far.

With the 28-year-old struggling to earn regular minutes in the XI, Postecoglou has already admitted Lo Celso could leave if he wants to do so this summer.

“No one will play every game. It doesn’t happen. It doesn’t happen at all the big clubs, so I am never really worried about the game-time players are playing,” Postecoglou said.

“If they want more game-time, there are other clubs where they can do that and I’m looking at contribution. With someone like Gio, like I said he has contributed to us this year and that’s been the most important thing for me.”
