Liverpool think £51m star could be perfect player for them next season, his value is set to sky-rocket

Liverpool are beginning to look ahead to the summer transfer window as the end of the season looms.

It’s set to be an emotional few weeks for the Reds, as Jurgen Klopp enters his final month as manager of the club.

Perhaps it doesn’t feel like it at times, but life will indeed go on at Anfield beyond Klopp’s exit. And part of that will be bringing in the right players for the new manager.

As we’ve identified previously, there are certain areas of the Liverpool squad that can clearly be upgraded. Possibly the most pressing of these is in central defence, where the Reds could do with a more reliable partner for Virgil van Dijk.

And with that in mind, Liverpool have reportedly identified the player who could come in and be that solution next season.

Liverpool like Willian Pacho

With rumours that Ruben Amorim has been offered a contract to become Liverpool manager, there will no doubt be plenty of rumours about him bringing Sporting players to Anfield.

Of course, nothing is anything like official with Amorim, though. So, caution may be advised when dealing with reports about interest in Goncalo Inacio or Ousmane Diomande.

In the meantime, Liverpool are said to have set their scouting radar to Germany and to Eintracht Frankfurt. With Eintracht boasting a number of impressive talents, the Reds are claimed to be watching them closely.

One of those to have been more explicitly mentioned as a target is centre-back Willian Pacho. And now, South American outlet Bola VIP claim that Liverpool see Pacho as being the ‘ideal profile’ to strengthen their defence.

Arsenal are reportedly keen on the 22-year-old as well, and are said to have already made a £38.5m offer. Eintracht are claimed to value Pacho at more like £51m though, and will reportedly wait until after the Copa America to price the defender.

With Pacho set to play at the summer tournament for Ecuador, his club are said to be expecting his performances in the USA to raise his value even further.

Which other Eintracht players could Liverpool target

After news that Liverpool are scouting Eintracht for new additions, we’ve taken a look at some names who could be on their agenda.

Pacho is undoubtedly one, with the Ecuadorian looking like a top defender in the making. Left-footed, just 22 and already experienced in Europe, you can see his appeal to the Reds.

Another to perhaps be catching their eye will be Hugo Larsson. The Swedish midfielder is said to be a mix of Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri and Liverpool would be wise to snap him up.

And finally, Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush could also be on the Reds shortlist.

Any of these three signings would improve Liverpool and address key areas that need upgrading. Let’s get them done!
