Report: Ange Postecoglou eyes shock free transfer move to sign 'aggressive' PL player for Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur are now interested in signing a Premier League player on a free transfer this summer.

Spurs are still battling hard to pip Aston Villa to fourth in the Premier League table, and they have a big chance of doing that in the coming weeks.

Ange Postecoglou‘s side are just three points behind the Villans and also have a game in hand. It won’t be easy, but Tottenham have what it takes to get the job done.

Irrespective of what happens in the final few games of the season, Tottenham are expected to be very active in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Spurs need reinforcements in multiple areas of the pitch, but a new defender is expected to be high on the agenda once the window opens.

Tottenham are said to be looking at the free agent market, and they have a surprise name on their wish list now.

Tottenham eye shock move to sign Gabriel Osho

A number of different centre-backs have been linked with a move to Tottenham in recent months.

Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are the undisputed first-choice starters for Spurs at the back, while Radu Dragusin is the man who comes in if needed.

Tottenham could do with another centre-back this summer, and among all the names linked with a move to North London is Gabriel Osho of Luton Town.

The 25-year-old Nigerian has had a difficult season with injuries.

He missed the first eight games of the season with a knee issue and has been out of action in Luton’s last eight fixtures as well due to another problem with his knee.

However, in the 16 Premier League games he has played this season, Osho has caught many people’s eye, and it looks like Ange Postecoglou is one of them.

GiveMeSport claim that Tottenham have Osho as an option to bolster their defence this summer, and the Nigerian will be available to sign on a free transfer.

The report adds that Spurs face competition from Aston Villa and Fulham for Osho’s signature once his contract expires this summer.

Tottenham are eyeing two more defenders to sign on a free

Gabriel Osho is not the only soon-to-be free agent Tottenham are considering at the moment.

Spurs don’t want to get on the wrong side of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules and have decided to explore the free agent market as a result.

Luton Town’s Osho is one option, but Ange Postecoglou has two more on his list.

Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo is also an option, and he has been linked with a move to Tottenham for about a year now. His contract will expire at the end of the season too.

Another name on Tottenham’s radar is Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly. He too has been linked with a move to Spurs for a while now, and the fact that he can play at centre-half as well as at left-back makes him a very attractive option.
