Arsenal are in the market for a new midfielder this summer.
Indeed, the Gunners need a new central player to fortify their midfield.
As good as Arsenal have been this season, that is a glaring hole in their squad at the moment.
Thomas Partey simply isn’t reliable enough these days, while Jorginho isn’t getting any younger.
Factor in that Kai Havertz isn’t looking too comfortable in the midfield and all the signs point towards Arsenal signing a new midfielder this summer.
So, who will Arsenal go after? Well, a number of midfielders have been linked, but according to one report, the Gunners are at the front of the queue for a £60m player.

According to a report from TuttoJuve, Arsenal are big favourites to sign Martin Zubimendi this summer.
This is a name that many Arsenal fans will be familiar with.
Indeed, Zubimendi has been consistently linked with a move to Arsenal for around 18 months at this point, and it looks as though the Gunners could make their move this summer.
That being said, a report form an Italian outlet about an English club signing a La Liga player perhaps isn’t the best source, so you may be best taking this one with a small pinch of salt.
Martin Zubimendi could be ideal for Arsenal
Zubimendi could be just what the doctor ordered at the Emirates.
The Spaniard is very much cut from the same cloth as Jorginho, he’s a player who may not be the flashiest, but he’s as tidy as they come on the ball and you can trust him in almost any scenario.
Arsenal’s midfield has been at its best in recent months with Jorginho and Declan Rice playing together, so why not try to sign a player who is arguably just a younger model?
This is certainly one to keep an eye on heading into the summer.
