Over the last day, 91 combat engagements were registered in the frontline. Ukrainian troops repelled 25 enemy attacks in the Bakhmut direction, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
In total, the enemy launched 14 missile and 48 air strikes, fired 61 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas.
Situation at the frontlines
The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions has not changed significantly. No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine.
More than 20 localities came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Senkivka, Leonivka, Yanzhulivka in Chernihiv region; Poznya, Kliusy, Pokrovka, Popivka and Myropilske in Sumy region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions, but conducted an air strike near the village of Synkivka in Kharkiv region. About 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Stepova Novoselivka, Ivanivka, Kotliarivka in Kharkiv region.
In the Liman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 9 attacks near Terny, Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops. The enemy also launched air strikes near Novosadove and Yampolivka in Donetsk region. Artillery and mortar shelling damaged more than 10 localities, including Nevske in Luhansk region and Terny, Torske in Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, our troops repelled 25 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Verkhnekamianske, Spirne, Klishchiivka, Ivanivske, Novyi, Donetsk region, where the enemy was trying to improve its tactical position.
The enemy also conducted air strikes near the settlements of Chasiv Yar and New York in Donetsk region. More than 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Hryhorivka, Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 18 attacks in the areas of Semenivka, Novokalynove, Ocheretyne, Berdychi, Umanske, Yasnobrodivka in Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to force our units out of their positions.
The enemy also carried out air strikes in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Oleksandropil, Solovyovo and Novooleksandrivka in Donetsk region. About 15 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Semenivka, Novobakhmutivka, Ocheretyno and Netaylove in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiane and Urozhayne in Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to break through the defense of our troops 17 times.
The enemy also conducted air strikes near Krasnohorivka, Shakhtarske and Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Paraskoviivka, Kostiantynivka, and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, attacked the positions of our defenders once near Staromayorske, Donetsk region. He carried out air strikes near the settlements of Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region. About 20 settlements, including Stepove, Shcherbaky and Pyatikhatky in Zaporizhzhia region, were subjected to artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not abandon its intention to force our units out of the footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, during the day, with the support of aviation, he made 3 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of our troops near the village of Krynky, Kherson region.
About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Tyahynka, Ivanivka, Novotyahynyka, Poniativka, Sadove, Olhivka, Mykolaivka, Veletynske in Kherson region and the city of Kherson.
Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes against Russians
Over the course of the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 8 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
Missile units struck 1 area of concentration of personnel, 1 ammunition depot, 1 air defense facility, 1 area of concentration of enemy weapons and military equipment.
The total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion is 458,580 soldiers. Over the last day alone, the Ukrainian military eliminated 750 occupants.
