Arsenal fans have now shared their thoughts on the performance produced by David Raya against Wolves on Saturday evening.
Arsenal kept their sixth successive Premier League clean sheet when playing away from home with a hard-fought 2-0 win against Wolves at Molineux Stadium.
Mikel Arteta’s side returned to the top of the Premier League table with this important win. It was vital for the Gunners to bounce back from their two recent disappointments prior to this game.
In the first instance, Arsenal surrendered control of the Premier League title race as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat against Aston Villa. The North London outfit were then knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich.

However, Arsenal defended stoutly and David Raya was solid throughout. The Spanish goalkeeper produced a particularly eye-catching save in the first half when he was able to turn Joao Gomes’ fierce strike from close range onto the post with his fingertips.
Throughout the match, the 28-year-old shot-stopper also impressed with the ball at his feet. He was able to pass the ball around the Wolves press comfortably and in a calm manner. The Brentford loanee was also a commanding presence in his penalty area, claiming crosses in an assured fashion.

One fan said, “Him keeping it 0-0 in the first half and all round calmness i think really helped us defensively. I think he won us that game today.” Another stated, “He was my motm today.”
One supporter insisted, “Games like this where he commands the box and comes for crosses etc where he shows his worth over Ramsdale. Vital save at nil nil too.”
One fan claimed, “He was colossal, but not cos he had to make a million saves. Our defensive stats with him in net isn’t a coincidence.”
