Russia's losses in Ukraine as of April 22: 730 troops and 17 artillery systems

Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of Monday morning, April 22, amount to 730 troops, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion to 460,260. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 27 vehicles and 8 armored personnel carriers, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The total Russian losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 22.04.24 are approximately:

  • personnel - about 460,260 (+730) Russian troops were killed;
  • tanks - 7236 (+7) units;
  • armored combat vehicles - 13,904 (+8) units;
  • artillery systems - 11,736 (+17) units;
  • MLRS - 1046 units;
  • air defense systems - 768 (+1) units;
  • airplanes - 348 units;
  • helicopters - 325 units;
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 9384 (+5) units;
  • cruise missiles - 2117 (+2) units;
  • ships/boats - 26 units;
  • submarines - 1 unit;
  • motor vehicles and tank trucks - 15,812 (+27) units;
  • special equipment - 1934 (+8) units.

Situation at front

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Ukrainian Armed Forces can still defend Chasiv Yar, except for its eastern outskirts.

In Ukraine, 85 combat engagements took place on the frontline over the past day. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed two Kh-59 guided missiles.
