Chris Sutton’s cheeky Graeme Souness Celtic bias dig with perfect Fabio Silva tweet

Most of the Celtic headlines have been taken up with Celtic’s win over Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup on Saturday.

The 3-3 draw and subsequent penalty shoot-out drama will probably be talked about from now until the final on the 25th of May.

And after Rangers booked their place to meet Celtic in the showpiece final, another Glasgow Derby looms to cap off what has been a weird, and yet-to-be-proven, wonderful season for the Hoops fans.

With Celtic sitting top of the league, Brendan Rodgers will be confident that he can lead his team to the title heading into the final five games of the season.

But the four-point gap could have been larger had Celtic held out at Ibrox for a win. The 3-3 draw was overshadowed by Fabio Silva’s antics and that led to severe criticism from Chris Sutton.

Winning a penalty after VAR overturned his yellow card for simulation, Silva’s antics throughout the whole game were lambasted by the former Celtic hero during co-commentary.

Sutton takes aim at Silva and Souness

So much so that Graeme Souness claimed that Sutton is biased when it comes to co-commenting on Celtic games.

But this morning, Sutton hit back at Graeme Souness after another Fabio Silva incident at Hampden yesterday with a perfect response on social media channel X:

Only Fabio Silva will know what was going through his mind but many Celtic fans have already made up their mind on the post.

Celtic could, and probably should, have been out of sight at the Ibrox Glasgow Derby and whether you agree if it was a penalty or not, diving needs to be eradicated out of our game.

It spoils the fans’ enjoyment and it really is a bugbear for all football fans, not just Celtic fans.

League duty resumes on Saturday as Celtic face Dundee at Dens Park and Rodgers will be hoping to maintain or stretch his lead at the top of the table depending on what happens at St Mirren with Rangers.
