Russia's losses in Ukraine as of April 23: 800 troops and 29 artillery systems

Russian losses in the war in Ukraine as of Tuesday morning, April 23, amounted to 800 occupiers over the past day, with a total of 461,060 Russian military personnel casualties since the invasion began. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 12 enemy combat armored vehicles (CAVs), 29 artillery systems, and 23 drones, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to April 23, 2024 are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel - 461,060 (+800) individuals;
  • Tanks - 7,241 (+5) units;
  • APV (Aarmored personnel vehicles) - 13,916 (+12) units;
  • Artillery systems - 11,765 (+29) units;
  • MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems) - 1,046 units;
  • Anti aircraft warfare systems - 769 (+1) units;
  • Aircraft - 348 (+1) units;
  • Helicopters - 325 units;
  • UAV operational-tactical level- 9,407 (+23) units;
  • Cruise missiles - 2,117 units;
  • Warships/boats - 26 units;
  • Submarines - 1 unit;
  • Vehicles and fuel tankers - 15,845 (+33) units;
  • Special equipment - 1,936 (+2) units.

During the past day, 86 combat engagements were recorded on the front line in Ukraine. The enemy is actively storming the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Donetsk region.

During the night, Russian invaders launched 16 kamikaze drones during an air attack on Ukraine. Defense forces destroyed almost all enemy attack drones.

In Odesa, due to the Russian attack during the night, buildings were damaged, and a fire occurred in the residential sector. Emergency Services rescued 34 people.
